I have specialised in painting pet portraits and wildlife in oils at my studio, in Halsall, near Ormskirk in Lancashire since 2017.
From dogs and cats to horses and ponies, I paint portraits in oils on canvas board. My painting style is photorealism so as to capture the heart and soul of the subject in every painting.
A special feature of the painting service I provide is the regular updates that I send to my clients via Messenger on Facebook or email. These include photos of how the painting is developing as well as my comments on progress. My clients tell me that they love to see how the painting comes alive on the canvas.
As well as painting portraits for clients in the UK, I have also shipped paintings to clients around the world including the USA, Canada, Europe, South Africa and Australia.
I have had many returning clients who have commissioned additional paintings and have also recommended me to their family and friends.
I also paint wildlife in oils on canvas with approved reference images provided by photographers worldwide. These are available to buy via the British Wildlife – Paintings for Sale page on this website.
Please take the time to look around the site to see examples of my work. You can contact me via Instagram – SpurwoodStudio and SpurwoodWildlife or email – firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to discuss a pet portrait commission or purchase a wildlife painting. I look forward to hearing from you.
